Driven by producing results, Scott Walker is an accomplished marketing professional who has a proven ability to generate a response through controlled media. Equally experienced with small budgets and large campaigns, he excels at developing the right offer that converts potential prospects into satisfied customers.

Returning to the private sector after several years of public service, Walker joined Due North in 2004. From 1994 to 2003, he was one of five top administrators appointed to the Michigan Department of Community Health, the largest department of state government. There, he directed a $10 million annual health promotions program.
Among other achievements, he developed brand strategy for MIChild and Healthy Kids, generating applications for health care coverage for more than 350,000 low-income children. Walker also repackaged the department's smoking cessation product and executed new marketing strategies, increasing requests by more than 800 percent.
Earlier in his career, Walker was a TV and radio news director, anchor, reporter, editor and producer. He also instructed at the university level as an adjunct professor in broadcast news and marketing communications. Walker earned a BS in marketing and management from the social relations program at the William James College of Grand Valley State University.
He and his wife Ruth operate a small vineyard in Michigan's Leelanau Peninsula, producing premium vinifera wine grapes. The vineyard has been the largest local supplier for Suttons Bay wine label L. Mawby, recently named one of the world's top producers of sparkling wines.
